Greencross Vets

Meet Dr Laura Brown

One of her clients said: "Laura is not your average person. She's a terrific vet who has spent most of her career working for shelters. Shes also one of Australia's top motor bike racers. Her dancing is good enough to have been a dancer on dancing with the stars. 5 stars!"

Hi Laura. I see you are in Bali doing volunteer animal welfare work. I was wondering what are conditions like for pets and other animals in Bali, is it similar to Australia? Do the Balinese have a lot of pets like us and what are their veterinary services like.?

Hi Dr. Laura. After the glamour of winning a TV dance competition and the extreme adrenalin excitement of bike racing, don't you find your day job as a vet a bit mundane?

I was wondering why I should get my cat vaccinated? And how often?

Hi Dr Laura,

My neighbours cat vocalises as if it's in pain every so often. I have spoken to the owners and they do not seem concerned. Do you have any advice?

How do you support new graduates and vet students within the industry, especially when it comes to stress and mental health issues?

Was with Laura last week when she spotted a lamb trapped in a wire fence. Laura instantly vaulted out of the ute and rescued the distressed animal, before expertly massaging the legs which had been constricted and carefully placing it back with the herd. Her care and mastery was obvious.
