I have 4 pet degu's. 3 of them are very healthy but one has been quite ill the last couple of days. Where I live there are no vets that know anything about them to treat him. First thing in the morning when I fed him he was perfectly fine then after a couple of hours he started to look like he was choking, grinding his teeth a lot and struggling to breathe. Later that night he started to get worse, there was blood coming out of his mouth and I thought that he had given up because he wasn't moving. He also wont eat or drink, I tried to get him to drink from a syringe. He still wouldn't take it. Its now been 3 days and he doesn't seem to be getting any better but he is able to walk and get about. I still haven't seen him eat or drink. I really don't know what to do so if you could offer some help and advice that would be great. thanks
my little 16 year old terrypoo has mouth cancer which l have had removed 4 to 5. Times. Growth keeps coming back but dog happy otherwise. Bondi vet did an eposode about chemo pearls added in after growth removed. I would like to ask my vet if this is possible for my boy. Would anyone know which episode this was? Thank you for any help.
I have a 10 month old Daniff (Bull mastiff x Great Dane) and he absolutely terrified of walking past the local butcher at the end of our street. He either stops and refuses to walk or he pulls out of his collar, one time running in front of 2 cars and almost getting killed. My husband was able to carry him past the butcher but at 46kg that is not the solution. I was wondering if anybody would have a solution to this, the lady that works at the butcher came out to meet him and my usually friendly boy wouldn't go near her.
hiWhat is your opinion of desexing a male dog at 4 months? What are the major adv and disadv, apart from reduced risk of sex organ, prostate cancers and escaping and aggression to get to females? What specifically is the risk associated with the longer juvenile period Ito behavior and skeletal and muscle development delays? Will my staffy become tall with little muscle because of it?Love your show, thanks Bev.
Our cat visits the neighbours chickens and picked up some kind of fleas or lice around the ears, how do we get rid of this? Then I saw on Bondi Vet they used something called Metho on animals, what is the use and then what is the mix?
My nephew Andrew, owns a four year old Beagle Cross named Tesla, she's pretty good actually with all the family. Christmas day, she met my great nephew William(eight months), for the first time. She was okay until Andrew held William. Tesla barked twice and seemed to say " okay, I'm over here." Andrew handled it well, he gave William to Paula (William's mum) and then picked up Tesla and spoke to her softly. She settled down until Andrew picked William up later on. Tesla barked again. William was handed over to his Dad, Domenico. Andrew picked up Tesla again and introduced her to William. She ended licking Will's hand which he was okay with. Will Andrew's solution fix the possibility of more jealousy?
Every time I sit on the couch or cross my legs, she tries to hump my leg. She's pretty determined and really holds on with her front paws. I've tried to break her of the habit, but she's now five years old and showing no signs of dropping off. Is this normal behaviour?BTW she is a whippet/poodle cross
