Hi, my husband loves his working kelpies and his best kelpie bitch Eve fractured her leg goat mustering (she is only 3yrs old) and since this happened she has been in and out of the vets. She has had anti inflammatory tablets and a few different types of antibiotics. She also has been on and off with her food. Now currently at our local vets, they have done blood tests to see if Eve had an infection as her leg is quite swallon with fluid. Bloody test came back showing not infection, but now a hard lump has developed. A biopsy has since been taken which we are waiting to hear back from hopefully early next week but the vet tells us that he thinks eve has cancer. We're not convinced as its where her fracture is which just seems too much of a coincidence. Eve has earnt her keep as my husbands working dog and he's fine if she can't work again as she will be a great pet at home with our little girl, but she is also his best friend and we don't want her to be put down if it's not cancer and something else?? Can you please help us. We live in SA rural Lucindale and are looking for help. We watch your show all the time and feel that Dr Chris Brown may have a different opinion that could be positive.
hey guys I rescued my dog ruby 5 months ago and we think she was abused when she was young but she gets realli scared when a male walks in the door or any male she has gotten use to my dad and my husband but she gets scared with loud bangs etc. how can I help her get over this sort of fear
We got our 4 year old. Border collie/kelpie from the rspca when he was bout 8 months old. He hates anything that has wheels. Skateboards, bikes, mowers. He goes straight for the wheels. Which makes it impossible to walk him by myself with the kids as he is extremely strong and I can't control him. I'm afraid that one day he will eventually nip the heels of a rider as they go past us. Please help.Regards Caressa
When one of my family members goes outside, my Kelpie X girl (8 months) jumps on us, bites and growls. It hurts! When I walk her she gets a little excited after a while and does the same. She jumps on me and bites.Sometimes when we bring her inside for quiet time, she gets too excited and bites and growls. Even though she's playing, I worry about the kids being outside with her. Help!
