Is feeding a cat about a teaspoon of canned tuna once a day bad for their health

I feed my cat a small amount of tuna in water which is drained first thing in the morning but only as a treat. The can lasts me seven days.

Hi jtraczyk,

I believe a bit of tuna is fine, as long as the remainder of the diet is well balanced.

The only concern I would have is keeping a tin of tuna op[en for 7 days. Even in the fridge there is a risk of it going off, which can lead to tummy upsets (food poisoning).

I would be inclined to only keep the tuna for around 3 days before disposing of it.
