Image

Village Cinemas Australia is partnering up with Guide Dogs Victoria this April to bring to you the Flicks With The Chicks film program

When: Wednesday, April 27 (coinciding with International Guide Dogs Day)

Time: 6.30pm for pre show activity, 7pm for film commencement

Film: Advance screening of Mother’s Day

Puppy Love is the title of the vigorous concept in which guests of the Flicks With the Chicks screenings will be able to experience. They will be taken on a journey in which they are able to watch the puppy as it transforms into a Guide Dog over a period of 12 months.

Guests will have the chance to assist in choosing the puppy and sending it to school with Guide Dogs Victoria. They will also be able to interact using various social media platforms and follow the puppy’s journey as it becomes a future guide dog.

Voting options allow the audience to vote which puppy they would like to support. The audience will also be able to monitor the puppy’s milestones which will be screened prior to each of the Flicks With the Chicks films in short episodes.

The monthly event will include guest speakers, merchandise stalls, puppy visits, puppy trivia, guide dogs myths and Q&As. This initiative enhances the cinematic experience by making it interactive, delivering a special and entertaining movie experience.

“This partnership is a fantastic vehicle to increase awareness in the community about the life changing role a guide dog plays in the lives of people with vision loss,” CEO of Guide Dogs Victoria, Karen Hayes says.
