WA vet wins the public vote

The first spot in the Search for the New Bondi Vet's “Final Five” was confirmed over the weekend, with Perth’s Dr Peter Ricci winning the public vote.

Dr Peter, who lead the rankings for the last few weeks, managed to stay ahead of WA compatriot Dr Bek Outred and Victorian vet Dr Claire Madden, to seal his place in the “Final Five”.

Viewers took a strong liking to Dr Peter, who when he is not treating animals in the emergency hospital at Murdoch University and Perth Zoo, is looking after a veritable menagerie of animals at home, including alpacas, sheep and chickens. He’s even a judge for Australian guinea pig competitions, just for good measure.

But Dr Peter hasn't secured the top job just yet, with the remaining four of the Final 5 being announced this Wednesday (5/7), with judges assessing our vets on a number of criteria including their responses to viewer questions, on-screen persona and the unique talents they can bring to the next iteration of the hit TV show.

Stay tuned to BondiVet.com and our Bondi Vet Facebook page over the next few days for the latest updates. And in the meantime, you can view Dr Peter's response to a couple of questions asked by his clients above.
